Cutting on hard surfaces destroys the edge of the knife you're using making it go dull faster and creating a hassle when it comes to cutting with that knife again. Sin 3 is Never Cut Towards Yourself or Someone. This one is a little more simple, as you wouldn't want to cut yourself or cut someone that is in the kitchen with you.
